Dual Diploma (Day)
“Diploma In Travel & Tourism Operations Studies” &
Diploma In Airline Operations Studies”

The students of this course can acquire the professional knowledge and skills of all aspects of the travel and aviation industries, be accustomed to the operations of the industries, the works of the frontline and back office before working. It also stresses on the development of personal potential, teaches customer services, effective communication and presentation skills, to meet the requirements of the travel and aviation progress and the manpower needs.
 


 
  Covers the contents of the “Diploma in Travel & Tourism Operations Studies”
   and “Diploma in Airline Operations Studies”. Students may get two diplomas and
   will have more job opportunities.
  Includes all aspects of tourism studies: the operations of the travel and airline operations,
   the required knowledge and skills of the front line and back office staff.
  Emphasis on practical training: tour guide or tour escort practice, visit organization(s)
   in travel or aviation industry e.g. cruise(s). Hong Kong Disneyland or airline(s), etc.
  Professional qualifications: Tour Escort Pass or Tour Guide Pass*, Associate Membership
   of The Hong Kong Association of Registered Tour Co-ordinators(HARTCO) and
   Advanced Airline Ticketing Certificate recognized by IATA Executive Council.
  Placement may be arranged to travel related organization and over 100 organizations
   participated in the programme.
  Recommend outstanding students to apply of scholarship.
  Gradates can further study “Higher Diploma in Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management
   of HKTT or work in the travel industry.

* Students may enroll public examinations organized by Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong to
 obtain “Tourist Guide Pass” or “Tour Escort Pass”.

Admission Requirements  1. Form Five Standard or
 2. Successfully completed the
  “Foundation Certificate in Travel & Tourism Studies” in HKTT or
 3. Acceptance is subject to the discretion of HKTT
Medium  The course is conducted in English supplemented by Chinese.
 Notes would be supplied in English.
Duration  18 months
Course Subsidy  1. MTR Student Travel Scheme
 2. Continuing Education Fund
  Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a
  maximum sum of HK$10,000.
  Applicant please ensure that you submit the application to the Office of
  the Continuing Education Fund before the commencement of the course.
Award of Diploma  In order to complete the course and receive certification,
 students must attend at least 80% of each subject and pass all subjects.
