| The aim of this course is to provide round development for those who would like to pursue their careers in Travel and Tourism Industry. It provides travel knowledge in operations and practical perspectives i.e. travel consulting, tour planning, tour guiding, tour escorting, airline ticketing & reservation procedures, etc. It also develops interpersonal skills in terms of customer service, effective communication and presentation skills, for the purposes to raise the service standard and professionalism, and hence stimulate the development of Hong Kong travel industry. |

Placement is arranged at tourism and aviation related organizations. Over 100 organizations
participate in the programme, including travel agents, tourism offices, airlines, GDS companies,
hotels and cruiseliners, etc.
Emphasis is placed on practical training: tour guide or tour escort practice, visits to
organization(s) in tourism or aviation industry e.g. cruise ships, hotels, theme parks
or airlines, etc.
Students will learn relevant skills and practical knowledge in simulated working environment
such as simulated travel agent and Global Distribution System – Abacus & Galileo.
Professional Qualifications may be obtained: “Tour Escort Pass” and “Tourist Guide Pass”
TWO Diplomas will be awarded by studying the specified modules of “Diploma in Airline
Operations Studies” at the same time.
Gradates can further study “Higher Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management” offered by
HKTT or work in the tourism industry. |

| 1. Continuing Education Fund |

This course has been included in the list of reimbursable courses for
Continuing Education Fund purposes. Eligible applicants will be
reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum sum of
HK$10,000 (whichever is the less), on successful completion of a
reimbursable course.
Interested applicants should submit the completed and certified
application form to the Office of the Continuing Education Fund
before the commencement date of the reimbursable course.

of Diploma |
In order to complete the course and receive diploma, students must attend
at least 80% of each subject and pass the assessments. |
| Remarks |
1. If applicant has obtained a grade "E" or above for the subject of
"Travel and Tourism" in the HKCEE or "Tourism and Hospitality Studies"
in the HKDSE, the interview will be exempted and the application
will be accepted immediately.
2. Early Bird Discount
Applicant who enrolls and pays the 1st installment of tuition fee before
the specific date, Early Bird Discount is offered.Discount Details :
‧On or before 3-Jul-2010 $500 can be deducted in both 1st and
2nd installment of miscellaneous fee
‧From 4-Jul-2010 to 5-Aug-2010 $500 can be deducted in the
1st installment of miscellaneous fee
